  • Chapter Meetings of the Susannah Smith Elliott Chapter, NSDAR, are held at Bethany United Methodist Church (118 W. 3rd S. St., Summerville, SC 29483) on the third Saturday of each month, September through May.

    SEPTEMBER 17: Celebrate SSE 20! Joan Naugle will talk about the history of our chapter as we celebrate our chapter’s formation 20 years ago. Come and help us celebrate! We will also honor members celebrating DAR milestone years of membership.

    OCTOBER 15: Service to America Celebration. Mickey Sieracki, VA Liaison Representative, will be our speaker. We will also perform “Service in Seconds” activities.

    NOVEMBER 19: D-Day Remembrance. Nan Jones, will discuss D-Day and her father’s part in it.

    DECEMBER 3: Christmas Luncheon at Hopsewee Plantation in Georgetown

    JANUARY 21: Mike Young, a Summerville author, will discuss his new book, Women Who Would be Free.

    FEBRUARY 17: (PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A FRIDAY!) Field trip to the American College of the Building Arts in Charleston. General Colby Broadwater will be our guide. Afterwards we will go out to lunch.

    MARCH 18: Medal of Honor Winners. General James Livingston, a MOH winner, will be our speaker.

    APRIL 15: State Regent’s Project Update by SCDAR State Regent Bonnibel Moffat

    MAY 20: Wreaths Across America. Bruce Richburg, speaker. Installation of 2023-2026 Officers

  • October 11 - NSDAR National Day of Service and Day of Prayer
