Thank you for visiting the General John Barnwell Chapter, NSDAR.

The General John Barnwell Chapter, NSDAR, has been actively involved in the Barnwell community since 1917.  In its long history, members have participated in community activities and upkeep of a memorial marker at the Courthouse grounds and Winton Park, located about five miles south of Barnwell honoring Barnwell County veterans of the Revolution, War of 1812, and the Spanish American War.

The Chapter has also assisted in the dedication of several historical markers throughout Barnwell County.  In 1999 members participated in the Bicentiennial of the City of Barnwell, by dressing in period costumes for a parade float.

The General John Barnwell Chapter, NSDAR, continues to be well represented at state meetings and has earned Honor Roll and Chapter Achievement annually.
